We have officially began construction of our new house. After a year in the planning stage, we are ready to get started. We've spent the last year creating our plan, tweaking it, and getting it just the way we want it. This is all thanks to architectural designer and friend Sarah Fugate. She's awesome!!! She created our plan to mimic a century-old Folk Victorian Farmhouse --- you know, the kind you see sitting on the side of an old country road (unfortunately, often-times in a state of disrepair). In the past year, I've collected many architectural antiques --- tubs, sinks, fireplace mantels and the like --- to hopefully help our home look as authentic as possible. We are blogging and posting pictures of our endeavor so that our out-of-town friends and family can keep up with our progress.
